Born April 27, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Guard George Gervin. Gervin played in both the American Basketball Association for the Virginia Squires; and in the and in the National Basketball Association San Antonio Spurs, and Chicago Bulls. The "Iceman" averaged 14 or more points per game in all 14 of his ABA and NBA seasons, and finished with an NBA career average of 26.2 points per game. In 1996, Gervin was named as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History.
